DEPOSIT, PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY
The purchase of any travel services offered by Taiwan Adventure Outings constitutes a contractual arrangement between you and Taiwan Adventure Outings, and represents your acceptance of the Taiwan Adventure Outings Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.
DEPOSIT AND FINAL PAYMENT
A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of 25% is required. Note that bookings are not confirmed nor secure until Taiwan Adventure Outings receives this deposit and you receive a confirmation invoice. Taiwan Adventure Outings reserves the right to release or cancel any bookings being held where this required deposit has not been received by the deposit due date. Payment of the deposit indicates you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
Please review and verify your booking invoice thoroughly and contact us immediately if your invoice appears to be incorrect or incomplete, as it may not be possible to make changes later. Taiwan Adventure Outings cannot accept responsibility if we are not notified of inaccuracies within 5 days of sending out the invoice. In the case of billing errors, Taiwan Adventure Outings reserves the right to re-invoice you with correct pricing.
Final payment for your booking is due 45 days prior to commencement of services. If final payment is not received by the due date, your reservation will be canceled and Taiwan Adventure Outings will retain your full deposit. Taiwan Adventure Outings is not responsible for canceled land and/or air reservations in the event payment is not received by the final payment date. If a booking is made within 30 days prior to arrival, full payment will be required at the time of booking.
All payments shall be made to a Bank account to be issued to you by Taiwan Adventure Outings upon completion of reservation.
All bank transfer service charges will be paid by the customer. Taiwan Adventure Outings is not responsible for any extra charges that may be imposed by your bank.
CANCELLATION BY YOU
If Taiwan Adventure Outings receives a booking cancellation prior to the final payment date of your vacation, your non-refundable deposit will be retained. Standard cancellation fees as stated apply to all booking cancellations.
90 – 46 days prior to arrival a 25% cancellation fee will apply
45 – 22 days prior to arrival a 50% cancellation fee will apply
21 – 0 days prior to arrival a 100% cancellation fee will apply
Note: we use Taiwan Time (GMT+8) as our standard time for calculating cancellation days.
REFUND OF UNUSED SERVICES
No refunds or exchanges can be made in respect of accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours, transport or any other services that are included in the tour pieces but not utilized by the tour member.
FLEXIBILITY OF ITINERARY
Please note that we may not be able to cover every spot listed in each tour itinerary due to the following factors:
- The pace of the tour: If there’s any elderly person or handicapped in the group, it may slow down the tour. Taiwan Adventure Outings will not rush its customers to the next attraction just to complete the tour. We believe it’s the best for our customers to enjoy the moment if they feel connected to any attraction rather than setting a specific time for each attraction.
- Road and attraction conditions: During the tour, it’s possible to encounter road traffic control or attraction maintenance by construction project, road damage or other circumstances. In this situation, tour guides at Taiwan Adventure Outings have the right to alter the itinerary accordingly.
- Weather condition: Tour guides at Taiwan Adventure Outings reserve the right to alter the itinerary according to the condition of the weather.
If as a consequence of ‘Force Majeure’ as defined below, Taiwan Adventure Outings is obliged to curtail, alter, extend or cancel the tour, the customer shall not be at liberty to maintain a claim for compensation or otherwise for any loss arising as a consequence of said curtailment, alteration, extension or cancellation of the tour. ‘Force Majeure’ means Acts of God, natural disasters, adverse weather conditions, fire or other destruction of any vessel, craft or vehicle to be used in connection with a holiday, destruction or damage to holiday accommodation, riots, acts of war, civil commotion, exercise of legislative or government action, municipal or military or other authority, strikes, industrial action, requisition of equipment, mechanical breakdown, shortage of fuel, insolvency or default of any carrier or service connected with the tour, fraud perpetrated against Taiwan Adventure Outings.
Note: Please note that we do not compensate the expense of your transportation (e.g. train or airplane) and accommodation if any tour is cancelled.
DISCREPANCY ON ORIGINAL PARTICIPANTS
If the size of the group is greater than your original order, you should inform us at least 24 hours before the tour and we will apply the surcharge according to the pricing of each specific tour. If the size of the group is smaller than your original order, you should inform us at least 24 hours before the tour. Or we will stick to the price of your original order.
CUSTOMERS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
It shall be the customer’s responsibility to disclose, prior to booking, to Taiwan Adventure Outings any physical or mental condition of a member of his party that may be relevant. Taiwan Adventure Outings reserves the right to decline to provide the tour for a person where, in the opinion of the company, that the tour would be inconsistent with the special needs of that person. No liability shall attach to Taiwan Adventure Outings for the provision of an unsuitable tour for any person where that person’s special needs have not been disclosed at the time of booking.
PASSPORT, VISA AND IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS
It is your responsibility to fulfill the passport, visa and other immigration requirements applicable to your itinerary. You should confirm these with the relevant embassies and/or consulates. We do not accept any responsibility in the case of you being unable to travel due to not complying with any such requirements.
LIMITATION OF LIABILTY
Taiwan Adventure Outings, its directors, tour guides and suppliers are not responsible for your safety. Outdoor activities are inherently dangerous and anyone taking part must take full responsibility for their own actions and for their own safety and well-being. By purchasing via Taiwan Adventure Outings website and taking part in any activities as a result of any use of this website, you FULLY ACCEPT AND ASSUME ALL RISKS AND ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY INJURY, LOSSES AND DAMAGES TO PERSON OR PROPERTY THAT YOU MAY INCUR AS A RESULT OF YOUR PARTICIPATION and agree to release Taiwan Adventure Outings, its directors, tour guides and suppliers from ANY responsibility, liability or claim in law or in equity.
You grant Taiwan Adventure Outings a royalty-free, transferable, worldwide license to use, store, display, save, modify, and distribute photos and texts that involves you taken during or after the tour with Taiwan Adventure Outings. The purposes are subjected to: promote our products on our website and its related online travel platform and display on social media.
