We often refer to LuPi River (鹿皮溪) Trace as “The Playground” due to it’s abundance of fun rope climbs, large pools to play in, and it’s iconic waterfall slide at the beginning. Hands down, this is one of our favorite river traces in east Taiwan.

    1. Day1 The Trace

      Picked up from your hotel at 9am after breakfast (on your own) and driven to Nan’Ao. Nan’Ao is located in eastern Taiwan and is decorated with beautiful, lush rivers teeming with wildlife and adventure.

      Shortly after arrival, we will gear up and learn the do’s and dont’s of river tracing. Once we get in the water, we will climb up the first beautiful waterfall of LuPi and make our way to the river beyond. The narrow, winding river ends at the massive Jinyue Waterfall (金岳瀑布). On our way back, adventurous types have their option of climbing down the staircase beside the first waterfall or slide down the 5 meter slope!

      After trekking back on land we will change into dry clothing and head into town for your option of lunch/dinner before making our way back to Taipei.
