Yangmingshan

Be Adventurous

Yangmingshan (陽明山) is Taipei’s biggest mountain, and may very well be the most diverse outdoor location within Taipei’s city limits. Witness steamy hot springs, difficult ascents, and a peaks that are beautiful enough to silence a crowd. Call in sick and join us for an excursion as we take you to one of our favorite local spots.

THE PROGRAM

Picked up from your location in Taipei, we will make the short trip to Yangmingshan National Park. The itinerary can vary to fit your desires.

The main peak, Qixingshan, is a 2 hour climb with a steep grade for the last kilometer. The forested path is beautiful and full of Taiwan’s endemic and common birds. From the peak we can see Taipei 101 in the distance, the coastlines of Taiwan and the surrounding mountain ranges.

From Qixingshan we can traverse over the East Peak and down to Qingtiangang where the wild water buffalo roam. The hike here is quite mellow, with large pastures and sulfur ponds.

Juanshi Waterfall is along this hike as well. Whatever you are feeling this day we can explore the beauty of Yangmingshan!
