Silver Stream Cave (銀河洞越嶺步道) rests on the outskirts of Xindian in Taipei. One of the more unique temples you will see, because it is embedded into the cliffside of Maokong Mountain. The fast flowing waterfall overhead offers a gorgeous viewpoint from the mountain back towards the city. The trail continues up over the famous tea gardens.
Picked up at your location in Taipei for a less than 30-minute drive south of Xindian, to arrive at one of the more impressive temples in Taipei. Built into a cliff, with a raging waterfall pouring over the front, lies Silver Stream Cave. An impressive site that will be the beggining of our journey, taking us up and over Maokong Mountain and down to Zhishan Temple.
We will stop at the peak of Maokong Mountain to have some locally grown mountain tea, and tea infused delicacies! After a relaxing stop to take in the views we can descend down the front of Maokong to another impressive temple on the mountain, Zhishan Temple.
From Zhishan Temple we cruise down the last section of Maokong, or if you prefer, take the Gondola to the bottom, returning to your location in Taipei.
